Who we are
TCG Center, Company No. 17211261, is responsible for the personal information we use to operate this store. Our contact address is 77/81 High St, Guildford GU1 3DY, United Kingdom. Email info@tcgcenter.co.uk or call +44 7350 626 881 about this policy or your information.
Information we collect
When you browse, order, create an account, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us, we receive information such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, order and transaction details, account preferences and correspondence. Payment services process the payment information needed to complete your purchase.
Our store and its service providers also receive technical and usage information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages and products viewed, cart activity, cookie identifiers and privacy preferences. Information comes from you, your interactions with our website, Shopify, payment providers, delivery providers and providers supporting analytics and advertising.
Why we use information
- Orders and customer service: to take payment, fulfil orders, arrange deliveries, manage accounts, handle returns and answer questions. We rely on performing our contract with you or taking steps at your request before a contract.
- Security and business administration: to detect fraud, secure the store, resolve disputes and improve our service. We rely on our legitimate interests in running a secure and effective business, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligations: to maintain records required for tax and accounting and respond to lawful requests.
- Marketing, analytics and advertising: to send requested promotions, understand use of the store and measure or personalise advertising. We rely on consent where required, including for advertising cookies and similar tracking, and otherwise only on a lawful basis permitted for the particular activity.
Order contact and delivery information is needed to fulfil your purchase; without it we may be unable to accept or deliver an order. Newsletter subscriptions are optional.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Shopify uses cookies and similar technologies to support functions such as the basket, checkout, security and remembering preferences. Analytics and advertising tools can collect browsing events, device information and identifiers to measure site use and campaign performance or show relevant advertisements. The tools and information involved depend on the services enabled and your privacy choices.
Where consent is required, optional tracking should operate only with your consent. Use the cookie choices presented on the store, where available, to review your preferences, or contact us for help. You can also restrict or delete cookies in your browser, although blocking essential cookies can affect checkout. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.
You can unsubscribe from promotional emails through the link in each message or by contacting us. Order and service messages are separate from marketing.
Who receives information
We share information as needed with Shopify for hosting and operating the store; payment and fraud-prevention providers; delivery and fulfilment providers; and providers supporting communications, analytics, advertising and technical services. We may also share information with professional advisers, public authorities where legally required, or parties to a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not share more information than is relevant to the purpose.
Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes information to provide and improve its services. Some Shopify features also involve Shopify processing information for its own purposes, including security, service development and personalised advertising, as described in its Consumer Privacy Policy. You can learn about Shopify-specific choices and exercise relevant rights at the Shopify Privacy Portal.
International transfers
Shopify and other providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for a transfer, we rely on an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards, such as approved standard clauses with the UK addendum or an International Data Transfer Agreement, as applicable. Contact us for information about relevant safeguards or how to obtain a copy.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. We consider outstanding orders and returns, account use, tax and accounting requirements, fraud prevention, complaints and applicable legal limitation periods. Marketing preferences are kept as needed to respect your choices. We delete or anonymise information when no longer needed, subject to lawful retention requirements.
We use appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect information. No system is completely secure; please do not email full payment card details and keep account credentials private.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your information and to receive or transfer it in a portable form, subject to the applicable conditions. You can withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent.
You have the right to object to direct marketing at any time. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation.
Email info@tcgcenter.co.uk to make a request. We may ask for proportionate information to verify identity and will respond within the time required by law. If an automated decision has a legal or similarly significant effect on you, you may request an explanation, human review and an opportunity to challenge it, as applicable.
Children
Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of the store and purchases. If you believe a child has provided information that should not be held, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Complaints
Please contact us with privacy concerns. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by telephone on 0303 123 1113.
